Among the basic strategies of International Financial Management Institute, supporting the financial management profession and its members development, contributing to the application of the generally accepted norms and professional standards in our country and providing a qualified coordination among financial managers issues exist.

In the last few periods, the global economic crisis environment, where finance managers are extremely engaged in, has increased the importance of coordination between the finance managers. Ensuring sustainable productivity in business and developing solutions to common problems, may only exist if individual and institutional experiences, recommendations and "best practices" that are shared in several platforms.

We believe that by the provision of this coordination International Financial Management Institute will meet a great need. Similarly, it is possible for International Financial Management Institute to increase the cooperation between universities and the real sector.

In the next period, as the new board of directors we will focus on the areas mentioned above. Therefore, I want to introduce you a brief explanation of planned activities.

We will be happy to share our electronic newsletters that are prepared in line with strategic priorities indicated above with you. I hope that the content of this electronic newsletter, containing International Financial Management Institute -related news, announcements and up-to-date articles of our members, will be improved by the valuable contributions of our members.

We are planning to establish the first International Financial Management Institute meeting, that will be open to all our members, on 21th of May 2009. The management and coordination of these meetings, which aim to shed light on the issues and problems on the agenda by coordination among financial managers, will be held by our former president Prof. Dr. Güler Aras.

The content of our first meeting will be anounced in detail to our members.

Thanks to the founder members participating in establishing and bringing International Financial Management Institute to this point, Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Güler Aras for his great dedication and effort in last period, managers and valuable members of International Financial Management Institute.
